Very efficient roll out this morning (I am slowly getting better) from last nights modern hotel, for sleeveless Sunday (for the big red *** twins anyway).
First stop of the morning (even after an excellent hotel breakfast) was after 7 miles in Las Ventas for a quick coffee. After that we pushed on making the most of the fast roads and stopped after 36 miles for a cold drink in a roadside cafe in El Torno including a couple of magic tricks from the owner, El Dynamo(see video links below).
Stopped for lunch in Porzuna after 45 miles in another roadside cafe, not our finest or best value meal of the week, the Manchego upsetting the nasal equilibrium of one of the sleeveless crew.
A fast final 19 miles in increasing heat took us to Ciudad Real, a large town staying in a central hotel.
A walk around town saw Eric drawn inexorably to the local wig / hairpiece shop (see photo) and the day ended in a Chinese awaiting food with a certain amount of fear and trepidation (turned out to be OK).
