Yes, the last day, some of us woke with a bit of a sore head, but we all made breakfast and after a few pain au chocola’s, plus extra chocolate sauce, we headed out. It was onto a climb out of Mazaron. The wee gears were being pushed but it was the first and last of the day.
Steady spin towards the coast with our friendly headwind,
Herr Jimmy’s carefully planned route went “tits up” when the Spanish authorities decided to “blow the bridge” without giving him prior notice. With No Entry signs all round we still sped toward the chasm, perhaps after 14 days we thought in true Evel kinevel we could do the jump. A Spanish H&S officer said no.
So it was head down and get on with it. We got onto familiar territory and made our way to Lovelo, a cycle friendly cafe that specialises in toast! We all had a 1000 calorie milkshake before the short ride to Tambalache and a celebratory pint.
So thats it.
Bikes back in the garage and the washing machine earning its corn.
