Bruges-Arres( - )
Day 5 - Black coffee and watery orange juice for brekky at the hostel so we quickly ran out of energy - after a long 200 yards a bakery was spotted and the troops tucked into baguettes, waffles and choc milk , on a park bench.
More lovely flat canal/cycle paths and a favourable wind then a coffee stop at 35 miles
Big Gordie found a Belgium chocolate shop next door, omg, 1/2 hour later he wiz kicked out, for sampling too much. He won’t come back lighter this trip as his pannier’s were also full of chocolate.
About to enter France and say goodbye to courteous drivers and excellent cycling infrastructure well done Belgium and Holland.
Stopped in Lille for a drink & Jim S was out the traps with his CD French course, guys i’ll order, I’ll get it.
Gordie is now on food rationing, something to do with a 5kg weight loss bet for the trip - just spent 50 euro’s in Dominoes,
Arrived in Arras France about 4.30 air b&b tonight looks good.
