AYRSHIRE to LOS MONTESINOS

Off at 8.15 after a meagre breakfast at digs. Lovely fast flat road surfaces and the miles passed by quickly. It wouldn’t be the same without a wee bit of rough roads -  and there was as we headed to our first stop at 27 miles.

Off again on fast flowing roads with gentle descents to Aspe for a drinks stop.

Desperate to get to the finish we hammered on through Almoradi and Algorfa where our friend Alan Brown met us just before spiky ball hill (La Finca).  We took some photos and then continued on to Los Montesinos for a quick drink at Tambalache before meeting the mayor of Montesinos where we were presented with a commerorative plaque - see the video Presentation Video.

There will be a summary report of the trip tomorrow as Gordon is keen to get back given Isobel said this would be like their second honeymoon !!
