Breakfast at hotel and on the road for 8.15am. Onto cycle lanes to a town to fill up with water then back roads towards our first drinks stop at 22 miles.
Jim S first puncture of the trip, four time bike shop owner Big G struggled to remove the tyre - blaming sweaty paws. JR said give us it here & I’ll use my massive upper body strength - 2 seconds later job done.
Onward after drinks and refilled bottles. Some fast roads, then onto a similar ex railway cycle track to yesterday. Beautiful views of the Med, more tunnels, & steep gorges lead to our lunch stop at 46 miles in Bennicassim - lunch with a view.
Only another 33 miles to go - some gravel tracks, bumpy roads and cycle tracks. Pretty uneventful apart from Jim S getting another puncture front wheel this time and Gordon’s pride was at stake as he wrenched the tyre from the rim like the incredible hulk.
Arrived at b&b about 4.15pm. Very nice with a wee pool in the courtyard and an honesty fridge of beer and wine.????
Out for a wander, some beer, and dinner but knowhere opens till 8
