Ripoll to Girona
After a poor breakfast, the crabbit breakfast guy, took away the bowls so we couldn’t have any cereal . Just more starvation for the big man (the tour is taking its toll as you'll see in the photos). Karma for the free breakfast the day before.
We were on the road for 08.30 guess what a 10 mile climb out of the town, the greenest Spanish scenery we have ever seen, followed by an 8 mile fast flowing descent into Olot where we stocked up on water.
Onward and another climb and first coffee stop at 21 miles - a wee tostada to keep us going. We sat watching the local workies having a snack and a bevy before returning to work in there trucks.
Jimmy decided to have a conversation with a parrot in the bar as it was more interesting than talking to us.
We decided to go all the way to Girona without another stop - more climbs and some Jimmy tours off road stuff but not as bad as yesterday.
At one point we were passed by a lone rider and Big G couldn’t resist jumping onto his wheel for a bit of drafting but as another climb approached we let him go on his way with thanks for the wee tow.
We reached Girona about 2pm and after a drink made our way to the hotel and thought this can’t be right it’s too posh for us. They even gave us an upgrade to a bigger room.
After a shower we all crashed out tired with the high 30s temperatures.

Fantastico amigos - Nosotras somos en Espana tambien. Disfruta tus tostadas en la manana. Nosotras comemos desayuno en la manana tambien. Nosotras salimos Granada ir al Murcia en las tarde. ( in other words - we are huvin tostada the morn & gaun tae Murcia ???????? - getting closer).

Keep enjoying it chaps remember you have all day to complete each stage ..take in everything and have hunners of stops ...Big G ( The Hauf) lol take it the tuna and tomato sandwiches are working
