After an exhausting day yesterday we decided to amend the route to reduce the climbing from 3 big climbs to one and 20 miles less distance. Still meant a 12 mile climb but not so severe.
So off at 08.45 after a free brekky in hotel (no we never done a runner, we just walked out).
Andorra, briefly back into France, and on into Spain. Some fantastic downhill on good tarmac. Passed some grassy ski slopes to our first coffee stop at 17 miles, fueling up while we can .
Off again on our new route some more downhill so much so that tesla only used a fifth of battery for 27 miles.
A quick stop at a bike shop to stock up on electrolytes. We said to the guy, are we in Spain now? He replied "no you are in Catalunya!!"
All good things come to an end - we had a 12 mile climb up ahead and a stop for drinks at La collada hotel.
Stopped for lunch in Ribes de freser - tuna/tomato tostadas all round, staple lunch for us cyclists in Spain. You can stick your cheese & ham baguettes.
Only 25 miles (whoopy doo it’s all downhill) to our new digs a nice boutique hotel in Ripoll .

Well done lads. A couple of tough days dragging those bikes and bags up the climbs. Lucky you lost a few KG over the previous weeks - can see it on your faces. Long thin and baguette like.
