AYRSHIRE to LOS MONTESINOS

cycle tour 2022

Blog - Euro Day 13 (Tue 2 Aug)

Limoux-El Pas De La Casa(France -  Andorra)

Early breakfast and away at 07.10

First coffee stop with flapjacks at Puivert - fuel for the climbs ahead - a total of 6 today. One particular nasty one with an 18% gradient on loose gravel.  Here the tumbling Tesla completed his hat trick of falls while basically cycling an 18% slope on marbles.  Thankfully no injuries, nightmare but typical Jimmy tours.

More climbing then a fast descent on good roads to lunch stop at Ax les Thermes.

Looking forward to the last climb of the day it’s only 18 miles long !!

OMG what a climb. 18 gruelling miles with not a single bit of flat road in sight. Stops for water & head dooking at several natural springs, ice lollies, and the odd photo.

3 tired guys tonight dinner and early bed again.
