Breakfast with a view from the rooftop terrace of the hostel overlooking the medieval bridge across the river Lot.
Gordon and Eric donned their Sunday best sleeveless tops ("we looked great", sleeveles boys) for the sunny day ahead.
All the climbs for the day were in the first 30 miles including a Jimmy tours dogleg into the village of la Francaise
Our coffee stop took place here sitting on a bench in front of the Francaise tourist information building, glamorous doesn’t cut it.
Picked up the canal path at 40 miles pan flat but very scenic to next cafe stop for drinks in 30degree heat.
Once again very few places open for lunch had to settle for some street food from a Chinese - nothing great just fuel for the engines.
Some French geezer on a scooter in the middle of the canal path started shouting obscenities at us (think he had been on the sauce).
Arrived in Toulouse in 40 degree heat and watched some alfresco dancing by crowds of teenagers in the main square.
Greeted by our host Phillipe at our air b&b with a cool beer then a dip in the pool - excellent!!
He’s going to make us a traditional French meal tonight washed down by some local red wine. Can’t wait.
Enid has already had beer, wine and vodka - oh dear ,bed time calls
