Sarrazac-Cahors()
Day 13 and half way in days.
Greeted by beautiful blue sky on rising at 7. Bikes loaded, it was time to fuel the engines so the guys stocked up with a hearty breakfast. It was only when the other guests appeared we realised it was for everyone ( oops) in the hotel - we also filled our back pockets with madelanes.
Off and running at 8.35 with a good bit of downhill followed by the day’s garmin climbs in the first 30 miles. Quite busy roads due to holiday punters in camper vans. Good roads and very scenic.
First coffee stop a beautiful medieval village at Rocamadour and some good photo opportunities.
Big G had the 80s music blasting out the speaker going up a 5 mile climb and Jim S was singing and whistling along to the sounds, whilst the rest of us were huffing and puffing , and barely able to speak. Geography Jim slipped up and never told us of proposed lunch stop , as full town was taken over by a mass car boot sale ( minus the cars).
Decided to do a 4 man time trial, as hunger was calling. Arrived in Vers for lunch (50 miles )to find that live track had malfunctioned (maybe we were going too fast) sorry appears to be ok now.
Another statement from the big man after scoffing lunch “ that’s the best meal I’ve had this tour even if I don’t get a meal tonight I’ll be happy!!! “( school boy error we are going for an Indian ). If he voluntarily misses a meal we'll phone the doctor.
Last 9 miles followed the river Lot, down the valley to the medieval town of Cahors where we're staying in an ultra modern youth hostel tonight.

Very jealous of your visit to Rocamadour, looked amazing on the Tour 2nd TT finish. Hope the legs are still feeling good
