Selles-Sur Cher - Montmorillan()
Sunflower Day
Early shout this morning. Did our packing and cycled 200 yards on a freezing morning to the boulangerie for quess what ? More bagettes then to the bar for a coffee.
Headed off and the temperature dropped like a stone arm warmers and gilets were hastily thrown on.
Cycled past acres of shivering sunflowers , poor things must have been feeling the cold too but hint of sunshine pepped us up for our photo call.
Jim Rs route took us off road through more beautiful fields but the approaching forest track was not to everyones liking. A few falls and some grumbles were quelled by more coffee stops and a cake.
Great scenery, rolling roads and quiet small country lanes , saw more wildlife than people, sunny and warm.
Stopped for a 3 courser in Le Blanc(no wine).
Jims Rs adventure took us off-road again much to the delight of Gordon, fortunately there was no “teddy bears”picnic into the wood this time.
Arrived in Montmorillon and managed to catch a swim and do some sunbathing by the pool. Chic hotel and the owner did our washing and hung it on the line.
Big G starvation continues as Eric ate his pudding tonight. He's wasting away !!
The promise of a lie in tomorrow means a later night for Big G , he will stay up until 8:30pm , the others will be out partying till the early hours or 930 pm
